Antique Green Fluted Spout Vase
This antique hand-thrown vase from Puglia is a particularly rare find. Dating back to the mid 1800s, it features a beautiful pistachio outer green glaze and is internally glazed in a creamy hue. The large vase also has a fluted spout, commonly associated with ceremonial vessels used for holy water or wine in southern Italy. The two-handled vessel is an impressive historic example of this kind of vasetto utilised in the Puglia region in particular for religious occasions.
