Antique Green Scalloped Plant Pot

€240.00

This antique plant pot is a rare example of planters from Calabria, in southern Italy. Dating back to the early 1900s this rustic plant pot is particularly unique because of its handcrafted textured scalloped surface. It features a pistachio green external glaze that is typical of plant pots from the Calabria region. The hand-thrown terracotta planter is unglazed internally and has a hole at the bottom for drainage, and features that magical patina that can only be brought about authentically by the passing of time. It is a versatile size and would be ideal to add a splash of colour to any home or space, both indoors or outdoors. This charming pot would coordinate well with the other matching ceramics from the southern Italian region as seen in the images.

Found in Martina Franca

the charming hilltop town of the valle d’Itria known for its baroque architecture.

Dimensions: H25cm x W25.5cm x D25.5cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration.
