This rare and uniquely hand painted vase dates back to the late 1800s. The large antique vase originates from Grottaglie, the town in southern Puglia renowned for its ceramic craft and tradition. The charming hand thrown vasetto features a fluted opening with scalloped edge, gentle undulating handles, and decorative indents around the lower body. What makes this piece extra special is the whimsically hand painted design on both sides, in hues of sky blue and plum red set against the buttermilk cream base.
