A large antique ceramic plant pot with a mesmerising pistachio green glaze. Originating from Grottaglie, a town in southern Puglia known for its age old ceramic craft, the planter (called ‘casc’po’ in local dialect) is characteristic of plant pots from the region. Dating back to the early 1900s the hand thrown ceramic pot with its wonderful rotund form is unglazed internally and has a hole at the bottom for drainage.It has that magical patina brought about authentically from years of daily use and the passing of time and exposure to the elements.
