A charmingly rustic antique vase historically used for pharmaceuticals and originates from the southern Italian region of Calabria. Dating back to the mid-1800s, this hand thrown ceramic vessel was used to store herbs and spices and ointments for medicinal purposes. It features hand painted wide stripes in a soft green framed by thin stripes in ochre brown, set against a lemon hued glaze.
