Antique Rustic Grey Glazed Vasetto 2
A particularly rare antique confit pot from the Puglia region with its unique glaze and rustic patina. This charming piece dates back to the late 1700s and was originally used for preserving foods such as anchovies, sardines, figs or olives in olive oil. The hand crafted vasetto with its two handles features ridging around the top opening and has an iridescent brown and grey-hued glaze that sets it apart from other confit pots of the region. The antique vase features that magical patina that only years of daily use and the passing of time can bring about authentically. Add some rustic southern Italian charm to your home or space with this farmhouse vessel and create an impactful display with the matching vases from southern Italy, as seen in the images.
Found in Ostuni
the charming hilltop town of the valle d’Itria known as la città bianca (or ‘white city’).
Dimensions: H19cm x W19cm x D17cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen. To utilise as a vase, it is recommended to use a separate internal water vase or vials for live stems.
