Antique XL Green Glaze Jug

€250.00
Sold

On a truly spectacular scale, this hand-thrown antique jug dates back to the early 1900s, with its unique patina that has aged perfectly with use over time. This Pugliese jug in a delightful green glaze and with beautifully formed spout and handle, has a wonderful spherical body that is a true pleasure to covet. It would have been originally used to hold water, its thick clay keeping it fresh and cool for the farmers. Today, the perfectly rustic item can be used as a vase for flowers or as a decorative display piece.

Found in Martina Franca

the hilltop town in the Valle d’Itria known for its baroque architecture.

Dimensions: H34cm x W25cm x D22cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
