A particularly rare find from from Puglia. This large planter dates back to the mid-1800s and would have adorned the entrance of a noble family’s palazzo. The beautifully formed vessel features an olive green glaze and distinctive hand crafted twisted rope detail around the top edge, displaying the skill of the artisan/potter. The charming ceramic plant pot is unglazed internally and features holes around the body of the vessel and at the bottom for drainage. This one-of-a-kind pot has that well aged patina that can only be brought about authentically from years of daily use, the passing of time and exposure to the elements.
