A charming vintage terracotta plant pot with a matte green glaze originating from the southern Italian region of Calabria. The large hand thrown planter features the distinct deep green hue and scalloped edging characteristic of Seminara, the Calabrese town known for its age-old ceramic tradition. The ceramic plant pot is unglazed internally with a hole at the bottom for drainage, it also features the maker’s mark on the underside of the pot (Ditto, a well known family pottery workshop dating back to the 1800s). There are also matching plant pots available as seen in the images, which together would make an impactful display, both indoors or out.
