Set of x5 Vintage Hand Painted Stackable Bowls

€185.00
Sold

A unique set of x5 terracotta bowls with hand painted floral motifs, each different from one another yet complementary. These vintage bowls are typical of Eastern European ceramics (from the Austro-Hungarian legacy), and found throughout the Mediterranean. The mid-century ceramics have an expressive floral design in varying shades of blue, green, red and ochre. Four of the stackable bowls are set against a buttermilk base, whilst the fifth has a soft blue base. The vintage bowls would make wonderful serving dishes at aperitivo hour and look just as chic stacked together. Several bowls are stamped at the bottom with the Corund pottery mark - traditional ceramics from the Transylvania region of Romania/Hungary. Also available with matching (smaller) bowls in various designs, that work well together and would create impact to any table setting.

Found in Lecce

the capital and baroque jewel of the Salento.

Dimensions: All plates H7.5cm x W19cm x D19cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
