A charming vintage terracotta plant pot originating from the the southern Italian region of Calabria. The hand thrown planter features the distinct glossy lilac glaze and scalloped edging characteristic of Seminara, the Calabrese town known for its age-old ceramic tradition. The small ceramic planter is unglazed internally with a hole at the bottom for drainage, it also features the maker’s mark on the underside of the pot (Ditto, a well known family pottery workshop dating back to the 1800s). There are also matching plant pots available in various colours as seen in the images, which together would make a charming display, both indoors or out.
