Vintage Drip Glaze Hanging Planter

€120.00
Sold

A large hanging plant pot with a unique hand decorated drip glaze pattern. This vintage hand thrown ceramic planter has a particular rippled cone shape, and metal chain for hanging. The mid-century piece has a glossy glaze with a mesmerising pattern in various hues of green, orange, blue and highlights of cream. The planter is typical of Eastern European ceramics from the Austro-Hungarian legacy and commonly associated with the Corund mark- traditional ceramics from the Transylvania region of Romania/Hungary, and found throughout the Mediterranean. The one of a kind plant pot would make a wonderful addition to any home, indoors or out, adding a pop of colour and pattern.

Found in Lecce

the capital and baroque jewel of the Salento.

Dimensions: H19cm x W24cm x D24cm

These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen.
