Vintage Rustic Vase with Drip Glaze
An mid-century hand-thrown vase with a wonderful drip glaze and unique shape. Dating back to the mid 1900s, this charmingly formed vintage vessel with its rounded shape features a ‘lava effect’ glaze in hues of orange and brown with drip glazes of pastel yellow around the opening. The glaze gives way to the earthy clay at the bottom, as well as a decorative 3D indents around the base of the vase, creating a striking visual effect. The colour combination and detailing gives the piece its modern aesthetic contrasting with the vessel’s raw, rustic style. This one of a kind vase would be ideal as a vase for fresh flowers, or as a decorative display piece injecting some rustic charm into any home or space.
Found in Ostuni
the charming hilltop town of the valle d’Itria known as la città bianca (or ‘white city’).
Dimensions: H21.5cm x W21.5cm x D21.5cm
These are handmade antique ceramics that are perfectly imperfect and some have been used for generations, so please expect some cracks, and chips, and discolouration. These individual characteristics are part of the charm and unique quality of each piece. Please note, colour may vary from screen to screen. To utilise as vases, it is recommended to use a separate internal water vase or vials for live stems.
